Find answers to high-altitude preparational, booking, and safety management details below.
What level of physical fitness is required for high-altitude passes?
For Moderate level passes (like Hampta or Kedarkantha), you should be able to run 5km in under 32 minutes comfortably. For Challenging and Extreme high-altitude pass routes climbing above 15,000 ft, targeted endurance cardio and leg strength routines are mandatory at least 3 months prior to departure.
How do you handle acute medical emergencies or AMS symptoms?
Our trek leaders carry pocket oximeters and track saturation values every morning and evening. If oxygen values drop below 75% or serious AMS symptoms appear, we trigger immediate descents to lower altitudes and activate helicopter evacuations if trail access is restricted.
Are gears and technical equipment provided by the company?
Yes, we provide high-grade alpine tents, thermal sleeping bags rated up to -10°C, insulated ground mats, safety harnesses, spikes/crampons, and helmets. Personal apparel like trekking boots, jackets, and thermal wear must be brought by the trekker.
What is your Cancellation and Postponement Policy?
Cancellations made 30 days prior to departure receive 100% refund. Cancellations between 15-29 days receive a credit voucher valid for 1 year. Within 14 days of departure, bookings cannot be refunded due to immediate logistical supply arrangements at high altitude bases.
